Osteopathic Manual therapy aims to understand the cause of the symptoms. This is a "systemic" approach that can act on functional disorders and symptoms.
The manual techniques used to help the body regain its health and mobility are very gentle. They include visceral, cranial, fluidic and structural techniques.
Our practitioner is a member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic manual practitioners (O.A.O.).
Osteopathic treatments at the Whole Care are covered by most private extended health care insurance.

Kinesio-taping is included and part of the Osteopathic treatment if required.

Homeopathy is a natural form of medicine used by over 200 million people worldwide to treat both acute and chronic conditions. It is based on the principle of ‘like cures like’. In other words, a substance taken in small amounts will cure the same symptoms it causes if taken in large amounts.
Homeopathy uses specifically prepared, highly diluted substances with the aim of triggering the body's own innate healing ablility.
A homeopath will prescribe medicines according to the patients specific set of symptoms and how they experience them, taking into account their overall level of health. Remedies are made from natural sources of plant, mineral or animal.
They are non-toxic, not tested on animals and are safe for children, pregnant or nursing women as well as the elderly.
Homeopathic Medicine is regulated by Health Canada and homeopaths in Ontario are regulated by the College of Homeopaths of Ontario.
Holistic nutrition looks at each person as a unique individual with different needs, desires and goals. It focuses on the whole person: physically, mentally and emotionally.
Holistic nutrition is a natural approach to health that uses purposeful, person specific case taking to understand diet and lifestyle.
Instead of a one size fits all methodology, holistic nutrition assess:
- the complete health history,
- emotional state
- lifestyle habits, to determine the root cause of health concerns.
Taking an individual approach to health and wellness allows a nutritionist to fully understand what each individual needs and lays forth the path to fulfill that journey.
Holistic nutrition can help with:
- food cravings,
- digestive issues,
- headaches and migraines,
- mindful eating,
- meal planning and prep,
- recipe development
- family and individual eating strategies
Holistic nutrition is covered by many extended healthcare plans.
